Student Council Executive Board attend District Conference

On Thursday November 16, the Student Council Executive Board attended the fall Central District- Massachusetts Association of Student Councils Conference (CDMASC) at Tantasqua Regional High School in Fiskdale, MA

At CDMASC, delegates from student councils all over central Massachusetts attend for a keynote speaker, roundtable discussions, team building exercises, and idea sharing.

NMRHS attendees included Student Council President Rebekah Sylvester (‘25), Vice President Mark Kingsbury (‘24), Treasurer Qenan Francois (‘25), Secretaries Mallory Graves (‘25), Ava Moore (‘25), and June Denk-Cole (‘25), and Kiersten Fagundes (‘27).

“These conferences are essential to constantly keeping fresh ideas flowing throughout our council” says Sylvester.

This year the Student Council underwent a change of faculty leadership with the exit of longtime advisor Kim Jamieson. In her place school counselor Ms. Brooke Chamberland has taken on the role and has been hard at work serving as a key resource and liason between administration and the executive board.

3 months in, time will still tell on the impact that she can leave on the council and school at-large.
